Restorative & implant dentistry

When several teeth need help, one plan.

Years of wear, old dentistry that's failing, teeth lost here and there: at some point patching one tooth at a time stops making sense. Full-mouth rehabilitation steps back and rebuilds the whole picture in a coordinated way.

What it is

Full-mouth rehabilitation, sometimes called full-mouth reconstruction, is not a single procedure. It's a plan that combines whatever is needed, which may include crowns, implants, veneers, gum treatment, and bite adjustment, into a sequence designed to end with a mouth that works comfortably and looks right.

The key word is coordinated. Rebuilding teeth one at a time to match a worn bite locks the problems in. Planning the whole mouth lets us restore the proper bite height, protect the teeth from further wear, and get the aesthetics consistent from one side to the other.

Who it helps

  • Patients with heavy wear from grinding or acid erosion, where teeth have become short and flat.
  • People with many old crowns and fillings that are failing at once.
  • Those with several missing teeth and a bite that has collapsed.
  • Anyone whose dental problems feel too tangled to approach piecemeal.

How we approach it

It starts with records: photographs, a 3D scan, models of your bite, and a long conversation about what bothers you and what you want at the end. From that we build a plan, often with a physical or digital mock-up so you can see and approve the end result before treatment starts.

Treatment is then staged over several months, usually beginning with any gum or foundation work, then the back teeth to set the bite, then the front teeth for aesthetics. Each stage is costed and scheduled separately, so you know what's happening and when. Dr. Khan coordinates with trusted specialists when a case calls for it, and remains the person responsible for the overall result.

Common questions

About full-mouth rehabilitation.

How long does full-mouth rehabilitation take?

Anywhere from a few months to over a year, depending on whether implants or gum treatment are involved. Simpler cases with crowns and veneers alone can be finished in two to three months.

What does it cost?

It varies widely with what's needed, so we don't quote without a full assessment. After the planning visits you'll receive a written, staged plan with costs for each phase, and we'll help you prioritize if budget needs to be spread over time.

Will I be without teeth during treatment?

No. Temporary crowns and teeth are used throughout, and they're designed to look and function well. Many patients find the temporaries already a big improvement on what they started with.
